Ubuntu Canteen Collab

We are excited to announce a collaboration with Chef Dave Gunawan at Ubuntu Canteen, 4194 Fraser St., on November 24, 2022.

The evening is a curious exploration of ceramic potential to supplement our perceptions in the way we eat. As artists we're curious to know how various interventions can affect the energy transfer between the creator and the receiver.

For this event, our purpose is to explore the combination of two different mediums, food and vessel, and their effects on the human emotional experiences of individuals.

I will be creating a limited edition tableware collection with local clays and decorated with glazes from pulverized Hornby oyster shells, fired in a gas kiln environment. Each guest will take home one of my vessels after the meal.

Chef Dave Gunawan is building a unique menu in response to the tableware. Dinner will be a 5 course tasting menu with optional wine pairings.

Tickets are $153

(taxes and service charge included)
