A beaded crawl glaze made with crushed oyster shell activates the surface, creating a coral-like field of raised texture. Layers of blue and ochre influence the glaze as it breaks and pools, revealing the unpredictability of kiln and chemistry. Both vessel and sculpture, each vase is entirely unique in pattern and surface.
