More unearthed than made, this tall vessel reads like a core sample drawn from an unknown geology. Encircling bands rise through its body like layers of time, Its ridged bands rise and fall in a quiet choreography — shaped by the pressure of hands and the rhythm of clay pulled between fingers on the wheel. The surface blooms with craters formed by silicon carbide gas expanding and escaping during the firing process. As the kiln cools, these molten bubbles are arrested in place, preserving movement inside stillness. The glaze deepens into electric blues and bruised violets, a living skin shaped by pressure, heat, and chance.
This is a vessel as monument — a sculptural center of gravity for a room.
One of a kind.
