Class Description

Pairs Wheel Throwing Thursday, Friday, Saturday Afternoons · 3:30–5:30 PM $220 per pair Spend an afternoon together making with clay at Kate Metten Ceramics. This one-time session is designed for date nights, parent and child outings, friends, or anyone looking to slow down and create together. Choose to try the pottery wheel or learn the basics of handbuilding. You’ll be guided through the process of shaping a few simple forms—cups, bowls, small vessels, or sculptural objects—in a relaxed and welcoming studio environment. No experience is needed. This is an intimate introduction to clay focused on connection, experimentation, and the pleasure of making something by hand. The session includes: 2-hour guided workshop for two people Choice of wheel throwing or handbuilding Clay, tools, glazing, and firing Kate Metten Ceramics will trim, glaze, and finish your pieces after the workshop Finished work will be ready for pickup in approximately 3–4 weeks Located at 416 East Broadway in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
